Πώς υπολογίζεται

Μετρώνται οι πυρκαγιές άνω των 300 εκταρίων με περίμετρο από το 2016 που έφτασαν σε κάθε περιοχή, έστω και εν μέρει. Τα εκτάρια είναι όσα κάηκαν εντός της περιοχής και αθροίζονται ανά πυρκαγιά, οπότε έκταση που κάηκε δύο φορές μετρά διπλά· γι’ αυτό το ποσοστό, που δίνεται μόνο για περιοχές 10 km² και άνω, μπορεί να ξεπεράσει το 100 % (τότε δίνεται ως πολλαπλάσιο). Περιγράφει τι συνέβη: δεν μετρά τον κίνδυνο ούτε λέει κάτι για τα αίτια.
